Studio Profile · 2025 Vol. 07 — Iss. 02

A 38-person CGI studio.
Two continents.
One render farm.

Venom3D was founded in 2018 inside a converted soundstage on McCadden Place. Today we operate out of Los Angeles and Lisbon with a 64-node NVIDIA H100 farm humming in the basement, shipping roughly 1.9 million frames a month for the brands that refuse to look ordinary.

— The Studio, in Four Chapters

Forty-seven years of feature-film CGI experience, distilled into a 9-business-day delivery cycle.

We don't look like a typical agency because we aren't one. We're a senior team of artists, engineers and producers — built around a proprietary pipeline and a private render farm — that ships studio-grade visuals at startup speed.

  1. Chapter 01 / 04

    The Founders

Marco Devlin spent eleven years as a VFX supervisor at ILM, shipping sequences for three Marvel features and a Best Visual Effects nominee. Anya Petrova led Apple Industrial Design's soft-goods prototyping team before founding her own Lisbon-based consultancy. Together they have 47 years of feature-film CGI between them — and a shared frustration with studio timelines that run in quarters instead of days.

    The Team

38 full-time artists, engineers and producers split between 1144 N McCadden Pl, Los Angeles and Rua da Boavista 84, Lisbon. Every engagement gets a dedicated creative director — no junior handoffs — backed by a 28-person core production team that runs the daylights out of the pipeline.

    The Farm

64 nodes of NVIDIA H100 silicon, sitting two floors beneath the LA studio. Zero queue time, zero per-frame cloud overage charges, and an output ceiling around 1.9 million frames a month at up to 8K resolution. The farm is what makes the 9-business-day turnaround a physics reality instead of a sales promise.

— Director's Note

We built the render farm so your timeline doesn't have to be the bottleneck.

For most of the last decade, the difference between a great 3D image and an okay one has not been taste. It has been patience. How many weeks a brand is willing to wait. How many revision rounds a producer is willing to absorb. How many frames a cloud-billed queue can chew through before the invoice arrives.

We thought that was a stupid thing to be patient about.

So we built a pipeline that turns eight-week turnarounds into nine business days, a render farm that we own outright, and a team small enough that every project still has a director's fingerprints on it. The output you see in our reel is not the work of a thousand freelancers routed through three time zones. It's the work of 38 people who are paid to care, sitting in two studios, running their own silicon.

If that sounds like the kind of shop you want to call when the launch date is real and the frames need to be extraordinary — then the next step is a thirty-minute discovery call. We'll bring the render farm. You bring the hard problem.
